The Spike TV Video Game Awards are once again approaching to commemorate the best games of 2007 and also to update gamers on a variety of other segments of popular video game culture. The Video Game Awards, which will once again be hosted by actor Samuel L. Jackson for the third year running, will grade some of the best know games of 2007 like Bioshock, Halo 3. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Warfighter 2, and Mass Effect in twenty different categories. Examples of some the categories that these games will be graded by are Most Addictive Game Fueled by Dew, Best Shooter, Best Soundtrack, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Breakthrough Technology and many more.

The Spike TV Video Game Awards will be sponsored by Burger King, Mountain Dew, Gamestop, Tag, and Nikon. Spike has also set up an official site for the 2007 Video Game awards which displays the various categories and which games have been nominated for which awards. Also visitors to the site can cast votes for their favorite games until the day before the 2007 Video Game Award’s airing date of December 9^th.
