Fable 2’s Pub Games was the first Xbox-Live Arcade title that wasn’t really a game at all. The whole point of it was to accumulate as much money as you can so you can use that money in Fable 2, an actual retail title. Crazy Fable fans are able to spend endless hours scraping together money to get ahead in the game, but if you have played the games, you’ll know that they are pretty much based solely on chance and that they do get pretty boring after a couple of hours of playing. So now what do you do?
Kotaku spoke with Lionhead Studios today and were informed that Pub Games won’t be the only way that you can accumulate goodies for the future. They found out that once Fable 2’s official site re-launches, it will feature a couple of web games that will allow you to unlock costumes and other items for the game and will even let you stock-up on some more gold.
Details are slim and we don’t really know if you’ll have to pay to play these games or if they’re free just because Mr. Molyneux is so excited about his new game. But we’ll keep an eye out for this piece of news; until then keep checking back to TGR.
