Good news for those who love using the Force for evil, as LucasArts has announced that they will be releasing a demo of The Force Unleashed on Xbox Live and the PSN Thursday, August 21st.

The demo will feature a "modified" version of the TIE Fighter construction facility level, one of the early stages in the final game. Also included will be a tutorial on how to use certain powers, such as the Force Grip.

LucasArts also teased a little while back that there would be a "surprise" ending to the demo, one which would make gamers eager to get their hands on the final version. I’m just guessing here, but I assume that it has something to do with a massive Ewok conspiracy to blackmail Vader using pictures of him after he passed out at a frat party into handing control of the Empire over to their furry little hands.

*Shudder* Oh, the terror.
