If you’re having a hard time picturing FaceBreaker and what it actually is, all you have to do is think of Midway’s Ready 2 Rumble on the Sega Dreamcast all those years ago. It’s a spoof boxing game that puts fun before everything else. Picture that and then you will know what EA is trying to achieve with FaceBreaker, which is coming this September to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. EA Sports has announced that a playable demo will be released so you can get you’re mitts on this new boxing game.
FaceBreaker will be available for Xbox 360 users through Xbox Live Marketplace next Thursday, 31st of July. Playstation 3 owners will have to wait a week longer as it is planned to be released on the Playstation Network on August 7th. The demo will include three boxers, Ice, Sparrow and Steve and will come with two arenas to play in, Booty Caves and Trailer Park. What’s interesting about the demo is the fact that you will be able to create your own character using Xbox Vision Camera and PSeye, a pretty beefy demo if you ask me, and you can bet aside that we will give our honest opinion when the demo releases next week.
